Algunos Tips

Idioms:

Definition:

A phrase which has a meaning that is commonly understood by speakers of the language, but whose meaning is often different from the normal meaning of the words is called an idiom.
Tea-Time Favourite Idioms:

Do you like cake, bread, sandwich, butter? Are they your
tea-time favorites? Do you know they can also be used in
interesting expressions in spoken or written English which
can add a spark of imagination to impress your listeners?

Example: For John, designing a web page is just a piece of cake.
Piece of cake
If something is a piece of cake, it is really easy.

'Flat as a pancake'

It is so flat that it is like a pancake- there is no head on that beer it is as flat as a pancake.

'Icing on the cake'

This expression is used to refer to something good that happens on top of an already good thing or situation.:" Her speech before the elections was like the icing on the cake."

'Chalk and cheese'

Things, or people, that are like chalk and cheese are very different and have nothing in common.: "My two brothers have nothing in common, just like chalk and cheese."
